Practical Guidance

These short films give you some practical advice to consider if your child is being bullied, or if they're bullying someone else.

If your child tells you they’re being bullied, it can create an understandably emotional response. Very often adults don’t know what to do or say, and we know that ‘just hit them back’ is a common response. But children and young people tell us that it’s not a helpful one. Many children don’t have the capacity to ‘hit back’ while others simply don’t like the thought of violence. We also need to be mindful that not all forms of bullying are physical, so this response isn’t always helpful.

The following short films provide some practical advice and guidance that you can consider if your child tells you they’re being bullied – or if they’re bullying someone else.
